A Good Wife

A good wife in a polygamous family studies the bible on her own as well as with the husband and family, and longs for understanding. She commits all the members of the plural marriage family as well as the family's works to the Lord, striving to be a role model for her children and the younger wives. Most of the qualities of a good wife will be taught by example, and by letting the relevant bible verses explain the observable behavior (1Cor 11:18-23 and 13:33-35; Gal 5:19-26; Eph 5:22-33; Col 3:18-23; 1Ti 2:9-15; Titus 2:1-5; Heb 11:8-11 and 13:4; 1Pe 3:1-8), thus helping the children and younger wives to develop an attitude that is pleasing in God's eyes.
