Christ Our Redeemer
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me." (Job 19:25-27)
When looking at the meaning of sacrifices in the Old Testament, and linking it to Christ being our Passover sacrifice once and for all, we didn't elaborate on the aspect of redemption in Old Testament sacrifices or Christ's sacrifice. Yet, it is important to look at the concept of redemption in the Old Testament as well as the redeeming act of Christ on the cross in order to understand what "to be redeemed" means for us in our multi-generational, plural marriage family, just as for you somewhere out there.
