Time on Your Hands !
So, did you do what we suggested yesterday, and finally switched off your TV, probably moved it from your living room up to the attic or into the basement or into some cabinet where you keep things that you usually don't need ? Or did you freecycle your TV set already ? Great !
So you have time on your hands now. You can use it to intensify your studies, of course, and enjoy your college classes more because you go well prepared. You can also intensify your bible studies, as a Christian lady, for all Scripture is beneficial, and you might have felt over the last months that college took away so much time that studying God's word somehow moved into the background - well, now that you don't have to sit in front of your TV anymore, you can pick up your bible again.
If all these suggestions seem silly to you because you did all that anyway, even tho the TV was running every day, let's start putting an aspect of that simple life into practice that you have been dreaming about.
Why don't you go to the store and grab some tomato and pepper seeds, some potting soil and a few containers, and start substituting your house plants for plants that will yield fruit. Plant the seeds according to the description - by the way, newspaper paper or the paper from the adds you find in your mailbox all the time makes fine pots for the first seedlings, and doesn't cost a dime extra - and place them on the windowsill, preferably in a window that goes south, and enjoy watering them and watching them grow... and dreaming of harvest time. If this experience has not been part of your home schooling, or if you never had the benefit of being home schooled in the first place, it's high time you tried it.
And if you enjoyed this blog so far, stay tuned for more ideas on how to life a simple and godly life, no matter where you live right now.
